Daily Paintings
Driving back from an annual art retreat in July 2014 I promised my friend Blair that I would paint every day, for a year. Just something small and quick and simple, and even if it was terrible I would keep it, date it, and put it in the collection. Mostly I painted at night, just before going to bed. I'd browse through my iPhone photos for inspiration, or sometimes I just doodle from my mind. The goal was to practice something and commit to that practice. Hopefully I will figure out who I am as a painter. Each photo below is of a week of paintings. I have stopped this practice (no good excuses) but I might take it up again. Stay tuned ...
